![]() ![]() T: Bitter hops flare up in the beginning and are a bit overwhelming with little to no support from everything else. Nose is pleasant but nothing to write home about Definite dank smell along with some pine and resin that are present with the caramel hops. Other citrus notes of grapefruit and orange rind are present, but certainly more bitter than juicy and sweet. S: Complex nose with notes of melon and tangerine. Translucent with some sediment floating at the bottom of the glass, but not completely opaque like some of the haze bombs. Ī: Pours a golden orang color with roughly two fingers of white foam, nice lacing as the foam begins to dissipate. Jul 18, 2021Įnjoyed in a 16oz snifter on 7/28/21, canned on. For what they were aiming for, I suppose they got it right, however, not for me. I don’t like lactose in IPA and this one is my fault for not reading the info on the can before buying it. Too sweet overall with a boozy finish that makes this a bit of a chore to drink. The carbonation was moderate to easy going. ![]() Nevertheless, this doesn’t quite feel like enough to counteract the cloying lactose sweetness.įull bodied with a frothy, soft and creamy mouthfeel. Tempered somewhat by a resiny bitterness as well as grassy and piney flavors. Very sweet with milky lactose creaminess and sweet alcohol spices. Loads of juicy and big fruity hops flavors evoking notes of mango, papaya, passion fruit and guava. And then there is that lactose aroma, projecting its milky sweetness on the nose. Juicy aromas of tropical fruit, including mango, papaya, guava and passion fruit amidst a malt base that evokes honey and caramel. A thumb length creamy head shows good retention and lacing. The lactose sugar is present, but subtle. The citrus flavors are insane, and the malt adds a wonderful balance. Overall, this is probably the best beer I've had from 3F. Soft and creamy, yet has a nice juicy quality to it. The feel is medium-full bodied with lower carbonation. ![]() Like the aroma, very grainy with lots of caramel and lactose sweetness. Very grainy, with lots of caramel malts on the back. There's a touch of pineapple in there as well. Loads of grapefruit and clementine oranges and tangerines with just a hint of lemon drop candy. Good head retention and leaves a nice crown of lacing at the top of the glass. Pours a cloudy amber color with 2 fingers of creamy off-white head. ![]()
